A View From The Bridge Essay-Arthur Miller -- English Literature:

A View From The yoke Essay-Arthur milling machineA View From The Bridge is a story with many themes and aspects suchas love, The American Dream, Justice, integrity and Family Honour. The storyA View From The Bridge is ab fall out an Italian American community livingin blushful pincer, New York. The Italian American community in Red Hook aremainly all immigrants living in the country unlawfully.I will instructly describe the go. Alfieri, an Italian-American attorneyin his fifties, enters the stage and sits in his office. From his deskhe talks to the audience and he introduces the story of Eddie Carbone.Alfieri compares himself to a lawyer in Caesars time.Eddie walks down the street to his house As Eddie reaches his comportmentdoor two fellow Longshoremen, Louis and Mike greet him. Eddies niece,Catherine reaches out of the window and waves to Eddie and Louis. WhenEddie enters the house he gently scolds Catherine for flirting withthe boys. Eddie thinks she should be more reser ved and not walk sowavy. Beatrice, Eddies wife, is besides home. When Beatrice andCatherine set the table for dinner, they convince Eddie to letCatherine channelize a transaction as a stenographer down by the docks but Eddiedidnt want her to take the job because he thinks the men will takeadvantage of her and he wants Catherine to finish college. Eddieinforms Beatrice that her cousins Marco and Rodolpho will be arrivingearly from Italy. Beatrice and Eddie scheme to hide Marco and Rodolphowhile they work in the country illegally to dismiss money back home.Marco and Rodolpho arrive at the house and a brief reunion. Marcotells the Carbone family that he has three children and a wife backhome that he will be sending money to. Rodolpho is the younger blond... ... sight ofa man destroying himself, while those around him are as powerless asthe audience to prevent it. This is hinted at by the beginning of theplay. This play shows a whole range of emotions and tackles many issues suchas The American Dream, Justice, Law and family Honour. In the end Ithought that because Eddie and Catherine cared deeply for each otherwisethis led to Eddie being jealous of Rodolpho and over protective ofCatherine, which split the kindred between Catherine and Eddiebut also led towards the death of Eddie. All the characters in theplay then suffered a tragedy because nobody gained anything in theplay or achieved their dreams but mostly lost things instead ofgaining things. Family honour efficacy have been satisfied, but onlythrough Eddie so that also be to be negative because only Eddiedealt with it and nobody else did.
